AC+DC-workshop at BASYS 2008
The first conference workshop organised by the AC+DC project will take place end June 24th, 2008 in Porto
The project AC+DC (Automotive Chassis Development for 5-Days-Cars) will organize a dedicated session at the BASYS conference. AC+DC is an integrated research project funded by the European Commission that aims at developing a concept, which radically enhances automotive manufacturing. Objective of the project is to support the delivery of a customer-ordered car within five days by novel approaches concerning product technology as well as production planning and execution. Additionally, the novel approach will be validated using a future modular chassis as a master.
BASYS 2008 is the 8th IFIP International Conference on Information Technology for Balanced Automation Systems. The focus of the BASYS 2008 conference is to discuss the rapidly evolving field of integration of human actors and emergent technologies and multi-disciplinary approaches towards business ecosystems where a myriad of networked technologies and devices, full interacting with human beings, will be generating, consuming and relaying data and knowledge in the context of a pervasive digital environment.
The workshop will take place on June 24th, 2008 in Porto (Portugal). Invited speakers from industrial companies like ZF Friedrichshafen AG as well as Fujitsu Services AB and from science and research organisations like INESC Porto and Heinz Nixdorf Institute Paderborn will present the main R&D topics of the project and the results of the two first project years.
