Over 100 speakers and poster presenters from 15 countries will present their latest research results and practical solutions at the SMART SYSTEMS INTEGRATION 2010 in oral and poster presentations. The special sessions by EPoSS and a MEMUNITY workshop complete the program.

As the SSI conference is part of the activities of EPoSS, there will be an EPoSS booth in the SSI exhibition area. EPoSS is also organizing two special sessions that are free of charge for all conference attendees, exhibitors and visitors.

EPoSS Session I: Excellence in Smart Systems Research

Invited speakers will present successful proposals initiated by EPoSS members in the framework of FP7 ICT Call 5. The following objectives of the current ICT Work Programme will be covered:

• Objective 3.9 "Microsystems and Smart Miniaturised Systems"
• Objective 1.3 "Internet of Things and Enterprise environments"
• Objective 10.3 "ICT for the Fully Electric Vehicle"

EPoSS Session II: Beyond FP7

This session will cover strategic topics in Smart Systems Integration such as

• Strategies towards FP8
• EPoSS Roadmaps 2013 and beyond
• The role of Smart Systems Integration in addressing major societal challenges
• Opportunities for international co-operation
• R&D and Standardization in Smart Systems Integration
